I was looking to play a mix from some very exciting producers and some new songs that are just being released. A set that is vividly lively and grows on you within minutes. Yes, what I need is to deliver of smooth flowing prog house.

So, here I have a stunning opening with Kaskade's remix of Samanth James' latest single Waves Of Change, then heart-pumping build-ups with new songs from Danny Routh, Dion Mavath, Mandi Seekings and Kenne Kuramochi, and more. The finale: Tiff Lacey's vocal in Chus Liberata's Bed.

My fifth set in the Playing Games series is another collection of progressive trance + vocals. Maybe it's the influence of Oceanlab (Above & Beyond + Justin Suissa). That album has such an impact on me personally. I found myself "deep in feelings" + "high in the air"... This set tries to bring back those times.

What is it that makes progy house music so cool to listen to? Maybe it's because you don't necessarily lose your mind listening to it, and you get that good head nudging feeling that makes you smile... (OK, trance on the other hand just let go off). :)

This set is really cool: current progressve house songs that are hitting many popular online music sites:

Dutch DJ and producer Nicky Romero gave us his interpretation "My Friend", a well-known classic by Groove Armada and it rocks, hard! Yes, vocals on this release are exclusively re-done by the original singer of Groove Armada. "Without a doubt this is set to be one of the biggest tracks of 2010!"

Leaders Of The New School’s latest brightlight is Stars--a collaborative project between Paul Thomas, Myke Smith and vocalist Matt White. The original mix is a banging progressive monster with classic synth stabs and a splash of techno rides. A bubbling analogue line keeps things moving while Matt White’s spoken word gives the cut a perfect human touch.

Beside Stars, "Sunrise" is another track featuring British DJ and producer Paul Thomas who made his marked at Godskitchen and on Toolroom label. Antillas & Dankann mis of Sunrise is no less inspiring than its counterpart and boasts a punchier groove and a more up-front house style.

And finally "Invisible Children". This song comes with no less than 40+ remixes from well-known Mistique artists and a good deal of new names as well, released in four packages. Kay-D Remix (in the 3rd batch) is a progressive floater with many different melody layers that unite nicely with the other elements of this track, for instance the many sound effects that also help creating a lush atmosphere together with the rolling bassline.

This year started with some very promising progressive and tech house remixes. The usual suspects are still delivering. In this set I included a couple of Adam Nickey's works that I enjoy listening/playing; namely his collaboration with Nitrous Oxide on Moon Dust and his remix of Sunny Lax's Misgrey. This Polish producer and DJ extraordinaire enjoys stretching his basslines and melodies, and I still can't get enough of him.

This is my third volume of Playing Games--a series of albums that compile some of the hottest trance, tech and progressive house music which is suitable for the hard-nodding listeners.
