playing high v04 (mixed by dkool)

Updated on Feb 24: This set was also uploaded on http://www.house-mixes.com/artists/DKool/ Point of pride: By mid-week (Feb 24), this set has been downloaded the most (under the Progressive Trance genre). COOL!

I always enjoy working on my series of playing high. It's all about mixing the best songs/remixes from the big names in trance.

I've listened to quite a number of trance songs in the last week or so, got a number of recommendations from friends, and have been playing a few tracks that I personally like. Volume 4 is about bringing all these together; gives me a lot of satisfaction.

I was careful about this experience: I want something that made me feel like I am playing right in front of the crowd, that I could see their faces or at least see their hairs jumping all over their heads. If I could see their hands and their legs in rambling motion. If I could see people not talking to each other on the dance floor, and that everybody was just in the feeling.

Like Mark used to tell me: "it's like being in a state of outer space... you feel like your feet is off the ground and your mind is struggling to understand what you are doing. the music is phenomenally taking over your body. and when the music slows down, you know you are slowly taking a path back to reality."

Playing High v04 is like being there again...
